This shell features Winchester’s highest-quality lead shot pellets. They are 8% antimony – a heavy metal which, when present in high concentrations, makes lead far too rigid to undergo substantial deformation during either ignition or impact. Diamond Grade shot pellets are also repeatedly sorted to ensure absolute uniformity in their dimensions. A jeweler’s caliper would confirm that each #7.5 shot pellet in this shell is precisely 0.095” in diameter.
This shell’s hard and round shot pellets only become more effective when they are paired up with Winchester’s AA wad. The plastic column compresses to absorb recoil before it has a chance to flatten the shot pellets, forms a highly efficient gas seal against the bore, and neatly detaches from the shot column upon expulsion. The result is pattern tightness and uniformity beyond compare.
