When you want an okay round of trap, go and find bronze or silver medal ammunition. But when you want to make other shooters at the range seriously consider giving up target shooting in favor of finding some other hobby, choose Federal’s Gold Medal Grand Plastic ammunition.

This 12 Gauge shotshell is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of #8 shot. The lead it is made of is strengthened by five percent antimony, and Federal has screened it to ensure each shot pellet is a uniform 0.09” diameter sphere. Alongside this shell’s fast burning powder that reduces muzzle pressure and even-patterning two piece wad, over 75 percent of this shell’s shot can pass through a 30” circle at 40 yards. That’s super efficient, so you’ll be able to crack clays as easily as pointing your finger at them.

This shotshell is extremely comfortable to fire as well. That’s largely due to Federal’s own SoftCell technology, which places a shock-absorbing air bubble inside the wad to reduce felt recoil by over 15 percent. This shell also features Federal’s PrimerLock head, which does a splendid job ignoring the differences in various shotguns’ firing mechanisms to ensure reliable ignition with every shot. Even this shell’s hull is top class, durable enough to be reloaded well over a dozen times with ease!
