Turaç (the company that manufactures Sterling ammunition) was founded in 1987 by Mehmet Saim Altunbaş in Çankaya, Turkey. Now, we know what you’re wondering: how the heck are you supposed to pronounce those little hook things dangling off the ends of those consonants? We don’t know. But we do know that these are great all-purpose 12 Gauge loads for clobbering larger upland game, turkey, and plinking targets.
This shell holds 160 beastly little lead #4 shot pellets. They’re too big to shoot trap, skeet or sporting clays. Try it if you want, but don’t anticipate high degrees of success. The shell’s 1-3/16oz. shot column is a little heavier than usual, but it still manages to achieve a robust muzzle velocity of 1,295 fps. You can expect a good amount of recoil – perfect if you like recoil – as well as the commanding downrange energy transfer that will not make your quarry wonder whether or not it was hit.
