Trap shooting is a great sport. You don’t have to catch anything, chase after anyone, or worry about dropping a bowling ball on your toe. But you do need ammo to enjoy so fine a pastime.

This 12 Gauge shell is loaded with #7.5 lead shot, which is one of the most popular selections for clay busting owing to its dense and accurate spread. It’s fairly easy to turn the one that could have gotten away into a handful of clay fragments when your shell can reach 50 yards.

Aguila gives this shell a lighter 1 ounce load of shot, which doesn’t generate very jarring recoil when loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps. That still dumps ample energy into a target, and Aguila’s uniform shot pellets and high quality wad both contribute to consistent, accurate patterns with very few fly aways.

This shell’s brass-plated head is gentle on an extractor and lies flush with the chamber. Its ribbed maroon plastic hull is reloadable. Aguila’s primer and powder both reduce fouling nicely, perfect for those who enjoy shooting more than they do cleaning.
