We shudder to imagine what would happen if land that were used for a trap range or sporting clays course were ever used for agriculture. We suppose the outcome would be something akin to the plot of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, but we are no scientists. We only know about ammo here at Lucky Gunner.

Shooting sports don’t necessarily have to inundate the land they’re enjoyed on with toxic lead particles, however. That theory is proven in full by this 12 Gauge shotshell from Winchester’s AA Steel line of ammunition. This shell’s ounce of #7.5 shot is made of harmless steel -- well, harmless when it’s not flying out of a muzzle at 1,450 fps, that is. That added velocity serves to ensure less dense shot has the momentum needed to pulverize even the farthest away clays.

This shell’s hard shot keeps a narrow pattern downrange, and its spread is further tightened by its special AA wad which also lessens felt recoil. This shell’s propellant consistently achieves its zippy muzzle velocity, and does so very cleanly. Its distinctive black hull is also made extra sturdy so as to ensure its ongoing reloadability.
