Perhaps you want to take a whitetail without having to put up with all that much recoil. Or maybe you want to unload your 12 Gauge shotgun as quickly and accurately as your big, manly hands will let you (unless you are a lady, in which case you assuredly have nice lady hands). IT DOESN’T MATTER. Once you’ve cracked open a case of Winchester Super-X Low Recoil ammo, you’ll be in paradise!

Low-recoil 12 Gauge ammo’s still pretty powerful, all things considered. This shell’s 1 ounce rifled slug (i.e. the correct slug for a smoothbore) still manages quadruple-digit impact at 50 yards, making it practical for deer hunting wherever trees are abundant. The slug also happens to be backed by a collapsing plastic wad for even greater recoil mitigation. Better yet, Winchester promises its reliable operation in semi-automatic shotguns!

We calculated this shell’s projectile as having 0.072 G1 BC. If you’re shooting to 50 yards, which is a pretty reasonable distance for whitetail hunting while you’re using such low-recoiling ammo, then you can expect the following result:
0yds: 1,300 fps | 1,642 ft lbs | -1.5”
25yds: 1,148 fps | 1,280 ft lbs | 0.1”
50yds: 1,043 fps | 1,057 ft lbs | 0.0”
75yds: 969 fps | 913 ft lbs | -2.1”
100yds: 912 fps | 808 ft lbs | -6.4”
