“Panzer” is German for tank. Unfortunately, purchasing a real tank is expensive, and the vehicles have legendarily atrocious gas mileage (compared to a four-door sedan, at least). But you can still buy Panzer 12 Gauge 00 buckshot ammunition, and it is arguably much more practical for home defense!

This shotshell is loaded with nine pellets of 00 buck instead of eight, which makes its total shot column 1-3/16 ounces in weight. Its muzzle velocity also ranks high at 1,350 fps, which means you can anticipate a healthy dose of recoil every time you pull the trigger. But the kick is well worth it. Panzer’s hard lead 1/3” diameter shot pellets pattern efficiently and hit hard, which spells bad news for any home invader or animal on the receiving end of them.
