This shell is loaded with two types of #2 shot. The rear section of its shot column is comprised of solid steel shot pellets, each with a standard density of 7.8 g/cc. But at the front of the shot column sits a separate charge of nontoxic bismuth shot pellets. Bismuth boasts a density of 9.6 g/cc, which enables it to retain considerably more momentum in flight than steel and accordingly deliver more devastating energy to its target.
This shell’s full-length wad prevents its hard shot from etching the inside of a barrel, and its flax seed crimp spacer keeps its shot pellets from jostling around in transit until it promotes more consistent ballistic performance.
