This is a big shell – 3-1/2 inches long, with 1-1/2 ounces of shot that’ll burst out of your muzzle at a jarringly fast 1,500 fps muzzle velocity. Federal maximizes a Black Cloud shell’s performance by loading it with two different types of #3 shot. Sixty percent are conventional spherical pellets, with the uniform diameters requisite for tight patterning. Forty percent are Federal’s proprietary FliteStopper pellets, which have raised cutting edges surrounding their centers to help them gouge deeper wound channels over longer distances.

Everyone who’s tried it loves Federal’s Flite Control Flex wad. It makes high-quality shot pattern even more efficiently thanks to its wide side vents and multiple break fins, both of which promote clean separation from the shot immediately following expulsion from the muzzle.

This ammo’s built to stand up to the wetlands. Its heads are plated with nickel for enhanced corrosion resistance, and its sealed crimps lock out moisture.
