This 12 Gauge shotshell by Federal is loaded with 2 ¼ ounces of #9 shot. It’s able to accommodate so heavy a shot load not only because of its 3 ½” length, but also because its Heavyweight TSS shot is made of a special tungsten alloy which is 56 percent more dense than lead. That means this shell’s shot delivers amazing energy on impact, and is able to maintain its velocity over great distances. When you’re after a tom turkey, you’re really going to appreciate such stellar performance.

This shell further features the FliteControl Flex wad, which works in conjunction with either a standard or ported turkey choke to deliver a tight and accurate pattern. The wad is full-length in order to prevent your shotgun’s bore from becoming marred by the very hard shot as well. This shell’s clear card wad also keeps the shot’s buffering securely in place until you get a gobbler on the right side of your muzzle. Federal donates a portion of their profits from their Heavyweight TSS line of ammunition to the National Wild Turkey Federation, so this box of shells represents a satisfying investment in future generations of turkeys to come.
