Here we have some nice 16ga high-brass upland game loads, which you’ll find are just the ticket if you’re embarking on a mission to bag pheasant. With the right choke this shell is even equipped to take down Señor Tomás Z. Turkey, too!
This high-velocity shell is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of shot, just like a standard 12ga target load, although its #4 shot really isn’t small enough for trap or skeet. The 152 individual pellets were repeatedly screened to ensure they are all exactly 0.13” in diameter, and they are made of stiff lead to promote denser patterning and deeper penetration in game.
This shell’s wad is hinged in the middle. It collapses on ignition to spare the shot pellets from flattening down as the result of accelerating too rapidly. The wad’s hinge also complements this round’s even-burning powder to promote lower felt recoil. Do you like reloading your empty hulls? Then you’re going to like what comes out of your chamber while you’re firing this ammo!
