CCI’s 17 HMR cartridge is one of the best on the market for piercing paper and vanquishing varmints. This high performance rimfire firecracker is loaded with CCI’s own 17 grain VNT, which acts a lot like TNT once it sinks into small game.
The VNT is a tiny polymer tip bullet, with a concentric jacket that wraps around the base of its core for even greater accuracy. The VNT’s tip extends deep down into a hollow formed within the lead core, but stops shy of actually touching the base. On impact the tip generates a great deal of energy before connecting with the core, and then BANG! Explosive terminal performance, with up to 100 ft lbs of energy to transfer up until 163 yards.
These 50 rounds come neatly suspended in a reusable plastic box. CCI’s own primer lights up a supercharged payload of clean burning propellant to achieve a muzzle velocity 100 fps faster than other comparable 17 HMR loads. CCI advises that you check with your semi-auto’s manufacturer before running this ammo through it.
