As I write we have a mountain of Federal’s 20 Gauge upland game ammunition sitting in our warehouse. It’s a beautiful day outside, no doubt fine conditions for hunting the very birds this ammo was designed for. And here I am, unable to help myself to a few boxes and then immediately head out to bird country because that would be (A) “stealing company property” and (B) “grounds for termination.” What a cruel trick of nature!

Oh well. At least you, our dear customer, can put this fine ammo to great use. Each shell is loaded with a single ounce of #6 shot, pellets which are perfectly sized for grounding grouse and partridge as well as turkey under the right conditions. Federal ensures their shot patterns efficiently by casting it from optimally hard lead. Their extremely round shot pellets are kept even more closely packed together in flight by a high quality one-piece plastic wad.

This shell’s high brass-plated head is made of strong steel, which will prevent any deformation that could complicate fast extraction. Federal promises their non-corrosive primer and fast burning propellant to deliver reliable ignition, and their fluted plastic hull ought to crimp back up nicely if you’d like to handload.
