This 20 Gauge shell is loaded with a 275 grain copper slug. The monolithic projectile features a sharp polymer tip and aerodynamic profile. Because it is stabilized by a high quality plastic sabot that correctly aligns with the bore before cleanly separating from it, the fast-flying slug attains a 0.171 ballistic coefficient! A competent shooter can group all five slugs in this box into a 4” circle at 200 yards, at which point they’ll still pack around 875 ft lbs of energy.
But this slug doesn’t rely on brute power alone to anchor a buck fast. Its polymer tip promotes wide expansion throughout penetration, and its externally skived nose cavity makes certain such crippling expansion reliably takes place over a range of velocities. What’s more, the resilient copper it is made of will keep this lead-free slug intact as it tracks a deep, wide wound cavity!
Please note: This sabot slug is designed exclusively for use with a rifled bore shotgun. Its accuracy out of a smoothbore would be extremely poor.
