The yellow jacket is a nasty insect. You, on the other hand, are a nice guy … although small game might have a mean thing or two to say about you. That’s because you’ve got a 22 LR pistol or rifle, and you go on the internet looking for the perfect ammunition for varmint hunting.

This one’s a real speed demon: hyper-velocity, with a very light 33 grain bullet that takes flight at 1,500 fps. Expect the flattest of flat trajectories, as well as triple-digit striking energy past 50 yards (if you’re firing a rifle).

The copper-plated truncated cone hollow point projectile has a flat, sloping, smooth-feeding and aerodynamic side profile, as well a business end that begins terminal expansion immediately upon impact. Precise. Deadly. Much more dangerous to small game than any wasp.

Remington assigns this round’s squeaker of a bullet a 0.095 G1 ballistic coefficient, which is respectable for its very light weight. Here’s the kind of result you can expect if you’re shooting a 75-yard target using a rifle with 1.5” sight height:
0yds: 1,500 fps | 165 ft lbs | -1.5”
25yds: 1,348 fps | 133 ft lbs | 0.3”
50yds: 1,220 fps | 109 ft lbs | 0.9”
75yds: 1,119 fps | 92 ft lbs | 0.0”
100yds: 1,043 fps | 80 ft lbs | -2.6”
125yds: 985 fps | 71 ft lbs | -7.2”
150yds: 938 fps | 65 ft lbs | -14.0”
