This cartridge is loaded with a lighter bullet: 36 grains instead of 40, which means you can expect a 1,260 fps muzzle velocity instead of 1,200 (with a rifle; a handgun will issue a lower muzzle velocity). The bullet’s higher velocity spells a flatter trajectory, and also postpones the point at which it begins wobbling as a result of transferring to subsonic speed.

The lead hollow point bullet has, as you have probably already figured, a hollow point nose cavity. It’s there so the bullet can expand as it works its way through soft tissue, which makes this ammo an even bigger threat to small game.
