Fast Shipping, Works Great
I've only been able to shoot my Grandfather's gun a couple of times because I only had about 20 rounds of antique ammo for it. This stuff arrived fast and even though I've only shot one box through the gun, it's worked flawlessly so far. Only downside is that the gun is so fun to shoot, I'm going to have to order some more. One thing to note if you're new to Lucky Gunner as I was, watch your email. I don't check mine that often so I didn't realize that they had asked me to send them a copy of my license because of the state I live in. That delayed my order about a week. Not Lucky Gunner's fault, just something to be aware of. Once I emailed them my license I had my order in a couple days. I'll definitley order from them again.
Nice to have availability on a rare round.
You guys are one of the few places one can find these rare rounds. The Winchester 1903 will only work with these particular rounds. I was relieved to find plenty of them available. Thank you.
I have been looking for these rounds for years. I have been told that they were no longer available, imagine my delight when I found that you guys had them. Haven't had ano opportunity to use any of it at this point. I hope you will continue to carry this ambition in the future. Thanks
This is the only ammunition available that fits my grandfather's Winchester Model 1903 carbine. I had not been able to shoot the 1903 for more than 25 years because ammunition simply didn't exist. Not only does this allow me to shoot my rifle and remember being with my grandfather, it's also extremely accurate. Even with open sights and my aging eyes, it shoots much better than a couple of other .22 rifles I have. I wish the price could be a bit lower but, when there is no other source -- anywhere -- I' just happy to get it.
told ya I'd be back for more!!!!
These things are sweet. They feed and shoot just like a 22 should. Last batch I purchased was great for squirrel and rabbit season and put the meat on the table as well as any 22/LR could do. Had to get more for next years hunts.
Good stiuff, but pricey
I had inherited my grandfather's Winchester Model 1903, but I had no ammunition for it so I couldn't shoot it. When Lucky Gunner had some, I grabbed a few boxes just to see if the rifle still shoots.
It does. And the special .22WAR from Lucky Gunner was far more accurate than whatever .22LR I fired through a Taurus Model 63 for comparison. My only complaint is the price, but with prices climbing on even .22LR maybe it's just that I'm old enough to rememebr when shooting a twenty-two was affordable.
1903 Winchester Automatic
It is great that there is still ammunition available for this classic rifle. There are no issues with this ammunition. I would like to see the price a little lower to allow for more plinking, but again thankful there is ammunition that is available.
great to find these after many years
please send e-mails to the people who produce these bullets and let them know how great it is that they are helping bring together multiple generations of family members (3rd generation with our gun). without their product, the old gun wouldn't be fired. shooting that old and fantastic gun is great. I hope they continue to keep making these bullets. thanks again
I was surfing Your Site and stumbled across this listing. I could not believe what I saw, I've had a 1903 for 25 years. I've been hoarding the last Two Boxes of original Ammo, affraid to use it up. Thanks to You My Kids can enjoy this wonderful Rifle as if it were a modern .22. Like the saying "They dont make em like that anymore" (2) Boxes of Ammo functioned as expected cycling with no issues, thanks for reminding Me I need to purchase more.
lucky to find this
I love to collect the old rifles and find it a challenge to hunt down the old ammo to make them bark again. I've only been able to find one box of this stuff until now. My old 1903 sends these babies down range with the accuracy that Winchester intended them to have. And at the price you charged, i was able to get enough to go hunting with it, as well as target shooting. Thanks for great service on an outstanding product. I'll be back for more.
Lucky Gunnery save me enough to pay shipping and handling compared to the prices of another website. Thanks lucky Gunnery
I found my Winchester in an old closet in a house I was tearing down. When I looked at the serial nos. it 03, 04, etc; I thought it was a new model automatic rifle that I was not familiar with. When I tried to put a 22 long in the chamber it would not eject. I took it to a gun smith to see if the eject mechanism was wore out. That is when he told me I had a 1903 Winchester Auto and it took a special shell and he didn't think they made them any more. I got on the internet and found two sites that sold rounds that I needed. The first one was priced higher than Lucky Gunnery. By ordering from Lucky Gunnery I save enough to Pay shipping and handling. Lucky Gunnery shipped quickly and delivered a quality product. Thanks Lucky Gunnery. Will recommend you any time.
So glad this ammo for the Winchester Model 03 Automatic Rifle is still available!
I inherited this rifle from my Grand Mother - I am 70. She owned it as a teenager and it was handed over to my Mother who passed it on to me. Actually I bought it from my younger brother because he couldn't find any ammo for it and I wanted it as an heirloom. The rifle is in great shape with most of its bluing in very good condition and the wood stock as well. I have shot about 20 of these rounds and they work great great and, just like said in another comment, this rifle is very accurate with the ghost ring back sight. At 50 yards the front site covers the target and I get a close group just ot the right of the bulls eye. I have 2 fairly new .22s and this old Winchester is more accurate and, for some reason, it is more quiet. Very happy!
Burns clean, cycles perfect, very accurate. The 03 Winchester is a tack driver and Aguila ammo only helps. A rep from Aguila told me they are still producing this ammo with no immediate plans to stop, so please keep buying it and encouraging Aguila to continue manufacturing an excellent round for one of the best rimfire firearms ever made. Send them emails.
Dads 80th Birthday Present
Thank you for this ammo. I gave it to my Dad on his 80th birthday, allowing him to once again shoot his 1st rifle, the Model 1903 Winchester Auto. He never thought he would get to shoot it again. We shot a box full and performace was excellent. Delivery was as promised. It was expensive, but the look on Dads face was priceless. Thanks.
The new Aguila Win auto rimfire ammo is great and works well .... No failure to feed or fire ... It is wonderful to again have a source for this ammo ... It would be nice if more companies made this and the price were a little lower, but I am just thankful to be able to purchase this again.....
Have not had a chance to fire yet but looking at this ammo and the box i have had for 40 years it looks like a perfect match. Thank you for carrying this very hard to find ammo and i hope to getr out and play again with the best squirrel gun i have ever owned. Keep up the good work it is appreciated .
