1959 was the year the 22 WMR was invented, providing a great, new, varmint hunting round for America. When Winchester invented this round, they didn't create a firearm for it until a few years later, but by that time, many other companies had caught on to how fantastic it was and chambered guns for it. In fact, this round was the only 22 caliber, nay, rimfire round that claimed success in all of the 1900's.
When you pick up this 50 round box of 22 WMR ammunition, you are buying from a company that has been around since before the American Civil War. When a company has been around that long, you can't go wrong with choosing them.
These 28 grain, jacketed hollow point rounds are perfect for range training. With the added accuracy of the jacketed hollow point, these 22 WMR rounds are fantastic for sighting in your rifle or just good natured target practice.
Only ammo my Winchester 522 liked.
Review by Nosmo King
Purchased a well used Winchester 522 that would not stay on the paper. After spending a great deal of time and effort cleaning the barrel, I finally got it to the range. Only shot at 20 yards, because I didn't know what to expect. All were 5 shot groups. CCI 40 gr. did not fair well. Barely under 6" group. Fiocci 40 gr. Was marginally better at 3.5" group. The WMR hollow point 28 gr. Was easily covered with a quarter. The barrel has proven to prefer the higher velocity and lighter grain bullet by far. I did have one FTF within the first 30 rounds. Other than that, and being a little pricey, I was happy with the results.
