Rodents. Some of them are actually quite neat, such as the industrious beaver, the preternaturally cute Ili pika, and the Malaysian whistling kangaroo rat (which we may or not have just made up). But at the end of the day, a rodent is still a rodent – which means its highest calling is to be hunted by you.

This 22 WMR cartridge by CCI is unfair to rodents. Its VNT bullet features a sharp polymer tip that enables it to manifest an impressively flat trajectory. The 30 grain 0.116 G1 BC bullet’s trajectory to 100 yards rises just 0.67” (assuming the sight height is 1.5”, of course). The VNT’s terminal ballistics only make matters even less favorable to rodents. The bullet’s attenuated copper jacket and polymer tip work in tandem to deliver an explosive punch to small game. The rodents won’t be remotely happy about this ammo, but the crows will be tickled pink when they arrive later on to clean up the remains.

CCI’s rimfire primers are famously reliable, and their brass cases ought to swim in and out of any chamber without interruption. This ammo is packaged in a milk carton. Do not pour it on cereal. Pour it into varmints.
