This multipurpose .223 Remington ammunition from Corbon is designed to serve effectively in self-defense, law enforcement, and hunting roles. To that end, it fires a 62 grain solid copper hollow point bullet that delivers penetration of 12-17 inches and can punch through auto glass, steel, and other forms of cover that an assailant might use. Keeping the potential users of this ammo, Corbon used a 16 inch barrel to achieve a test muzzle velocity of 2,750 feet per second. Longer barrels will deliver even higher velocity and better performance at extended ranges.

Corbon is a South Dakota-based manufacture of premium self-defense loads. Their ammo is known for using relatively high pressures and delivering high velocities and excellent terminal performance.
