Nosler’s signature Ballistic Tip hunting bullet has been used to great effect by deer hunters for over 25 years now. Whitetail, blacktail, mule or pronghorn – if it’s medium-sized and goes by hoof, this is the 260 Rem ammo for it. A good pick for hogs, too!

This round’s 120 grain bullet has a hard-working polymer tip. It streamlines the bullet’s profile. It prevents deformation in the magazine. It catalyzes massive terminal expansion. It is even color coded – brown, in the case of 260 Rem.

The Ballistic Tip’s jacket is tapered to promote a flatter trajectory and increased weight retention across all practical distances. The jacket’s base is also unusually thick, which acts to prevent deformation as well as drive terminal expansion outward more reliably.

Nosler’s Solid Base includes a boat tail, yet another accuracy-enhancing feature. It all tallies up to give this 260 Rem round a ballistic coefficient of 0.466, which is enough to keep its velocity at 2,100 fps by the 500 yard mark. At that distance the Ballistic Tip still overwhelms deer with nearly 1,175 ft lbs of energy!
