Hornady’s GMX isn’t just for hunters who care about the environment. The all-copper bullet will impress anyone who demands accuracy and decisive terminal performance out of their 260 Rem rifle.

This round’s 120 grain monolithic bullet is made of nontoxic copper alloy. The GMX is longer than usual because copper is less dense than lead, and Hornady compensates for that with the addition of multiple pressure-relieving grooves. The GMX’s sharp polymer tip, sleek profile, and tapering boat tail all enhance its ballistic coefficient considerably to promote a flat, predictable trajectory.

The GMX’s polymer tip rests on the rim of its deep nose cavity. The tip’s shaft wedges deep inside the mono-metal bullet during penetration, creating a mushroom up to 1.5 times the bullet’s original 0.264” diameter. The GMX doubles down on its devastating terminal effect thanks to copper’s exceptional toughness. The bullet remains largely intact as it pierces dense muscle tissue to guarantee a very deep injury to its target.

Black Hills caters to a variety of reputable clients including the U.S. Armed Forces and dozens of firearm manufacturers. Their Gold label ammo showcases the South Dakotan company’s best work, with high quality brass and perfectly matched primers and propellant charges.
