The TTSX BT is made out of copper, so it can’t streak a rifle’s bore with lead residue that gradually worsens accuracy. Although it is unusually long, the TTSX BT’s pressure relieving grooves limit the amount of contact its shank makes with the barrel, thus promoting even cleaner performance.
The TTSX BT offers a great deal in the accuracy department. Its sharp tip neatly pierces the air before it, and its boat tail limits the amount of turbulence it creates in flight. The TTSX BT’s monolithic composition is uniformly distributed to enhance stability as well, bringing its G1 ballistic coefficient up to 0.412.
The TTSX BT’s copper body is also incredibly resilient. This means it doesn’t fragment very easily, so it’s rugged enough to punch clean through to a deer’s vital organs. Its tip pushes down into its deep nose cavity during penetration to produce four long, sharp cutting petals, each of which can easily score a deadly wound channel into soft tissue.
Barnes loads the TTSX BT in a virgin brass case with a non-corrosive primer, and checks each round in this box of 20 to ensure consistent quality.
