This round’s 140 grain Core-Lokt is a pointed soft point. Because its tip ends in an apex rather than a dome it is highly streamlined, and indeed its 0.435 ballistic coefficient reflects its ability to deliver enough energy to humanely kill a deer over 500 yards out. The Core-Lokt bullet is also tough enough to pierce a surly hog’s hide and still reach its vitals mostly intact, as its core and jacket are quite literally locked together. And as the Core-Lokt penetrates so deeply, it consistently expands by up to double its original diameter to disperse immense energy whilst creating a cavernous wound cavity!
