This 270 Win cartridge is from Hornady’s Outfitter line of ammunition, and is poised to endure some of the worst elements the American wilderness could punish it with. Its brass casing is plated with nickel, so it is not only reloadable but also resistant to corrosion. This round’s primer and case mouth are waterproofed as well, so rain won’t rob you of your chance to bag the buck you’ve been stalking all day.

This round features Hornady’s 130 grain GMX projectile. The bullet is made entirely of copper alloy, making it compliant with California’s ammunition laws, letting it foul your rifle’s bore substantially less as it passes through it, and rendering moot the issue of core and jacket separation so that it can deliver no less than 95 percent weight retention as it expands up to 1.5 times its original diameter. This long bullet’s polymer tip not only serves to initiate expansion, but further improves its accuracy along with its pressure relieving grooves.
