It’s cliché for a bad guy to shout “You’ll never take me alive, coppers!” Well, here’s one copper that almost certainly won’t take its target alive: the monolithic TSX, artfully loaded by Remington as a 270 Win round.

An all-copper bullet is eco-friendly and doesn’t introduce any nastiness into your game’s meat that you’d rather avoid eating later. The TSX only adds to those advantages. This round’s 130 grain bullet is precision machined to deliver a laserlike trajectory, and its manufacturer compensates for a copper bullet’s longer length by engineering fouling reducing grooves into the TSX’s shank. This particular TSX features a boat tail to lower its in-flight drag even further, to a point where serves up a downright slippery .374 ballistic coefficient.

The TSX is exceptionally hardy. The copper it is made of is resilient, and it has no core and jacket that could fragment apart while it blasts through hide, sinew and bone. As the TSX drills deeper and deeper its nose cavity goes to work to extend four sharp cutting petals that scrape deadly wound channels in their paths. It’s a fearsome terminal effect, no doubt about it.
