This cartridge’s bullet is Browning’s own precision-plated soft point. The bullet’s shiny coating does make it quite eye-catching, but ultimately it does not have any significant impact on ballistic or terminal performance. The bullet’s notched copper jacket and dull-colored lead tip serve as the catalysts for reliable terminal expansion. This round’s 0.344 G1 ballistic coefficient means that if you zero in at 200 yards, the bullet will have dropped -8.24” at 300 yards.
Browning loads each pretty round in this box of 20 with factory fresh cases, which are perfectly reloadable if you’re the kind of handy fella who knows how to breathe life back into spent brass. Made in the USA!
