This 270 WSM cartridge is from Hornady’s Outfitter line of ammunition. Designed to be ready for action in whatever heinous weather conditions your hunt could force you to endure, the round’s brass casing wears a nickel plating which enhances its resistance to corrosion and further promotes smoother feeding and ejection. With its waterproofed primer and mouth as well, you can simply thumb your nose at the sky when it starts to rain.

An Outfitter round features Hornady’s GMX projectile, which is highly accurate thanks to its long profile, pressure relieving grooves, and sharp polymer tip. Said tip further serves to initiate virtually instantaneous expansion on impact, but because the GMX is made entirely of copper alloy it retains 95 percent or more of its weight so that it can penetrate deeply as well. This monolithic bullet will also improve your hunt for its relative inability to foul a bore, and if you hunt in California the GMX is the only kind of hunting bullet that you ought to be in the market for.
