Details

Look no further than these top tier .280 Ackley Improved cartridges for extremely precise, long distance hunting applications. Nosler, the inventors of the .280 Ackley Improved caliber, have introduced the Trophy Grade Long Range line to give hunters an edge over their prey with performance that remains dependable throughout the entire travel range. This is made possible by the AccuBond Long Range projectile which features a thick-based copper jacket and a tapered boat tail rear. The 150-grain bullet’s lead core bears a hollow cavity up front where it is bordered by thinner jacket sections and topped off with a drag-resistant, polymer windshield.

Upon impact with a target, the ballistic tip is pressed back into the hollow cavity and initiates wide, mushrooming expansion no matter how near or far the game animal. Due to the bonded design, the projectile’s jacket and core never separate which ensures deep penetration and massive energy transfer to vital organs. Hunters can expect pinpoint accuracy and devastating terminal effect which is effective on large deer, elk, and other big game. Each AccuBond bullet is loaded into Nosler’s own reloadable brass casing which has been checked for correct dimensions, chambering, and flash hole alignment.

Each case is filled with a painstakingly measured amount of propellant and equipped with non-corrosive Boxer primer. Nosler, an American company with nearly six decades of experience, hand-inspects each finished round before it’s packaged to leave the door.
