Accuracy – it’s the mark of any great hunting bullet, and the Core-Lokt Tipped deals it out in spades. In addition to its streamlined meplat, the 150 grain projectile features a concentric jacket, rearward center of gravity, and evenly distributed solid lead core. Expect the 0.415 G1 ballistic coefficient bullet’s trajectory to elevate by no higher than 2.4” before it collides with a quarry minding its own business at 200 yards.
The Core-Lokt Tipped’s signature tip rests on the rim of a very thin jacket mouth, and it also extends deeply into the underlying core so it can trigger massive expansion. The jacket is anchored to the core mechanically, which keeps the bullet mostly intact even after it hits its mark at close range. That feature pays off in the form of deep penetration. Polished brass cases, match primers and specially blended propellant are just the icing on the cake. It’s a 30-06 round for the 21st century!
