This 30-06 cartridge by HSM is perfect for hunters who like to keep a little distance between themselves and their dinners. It features Berger’s 168 grain VLD Hunting bullet, which couples match accuracy with devastating terminal expansion. You’ll be able to drop whitetails so far away that you can light a victory cigar in between pulling the trigger and hearing the impact.

The VLD Hunting bullet limits the amount of drag it can incur in flight courtesy of its secant ogive profile – a shape which demonstrably promotes a flatter profile and pronounced ability to fight off wind drift. Berger’s J4 Precision Bullet Jacket is held to a tolerance of +/- 0.0003 to guarantee outstanding concentricity, and their consistent core is manufactured to just as strict a standard. The VLD Hunting also ends in a boat tail for even greater ballistic efficiency. It’s an accurate bullet!

Once the VLD Hunting bullet finds its way home inside of a deer, it penetrates to a depth of 2” to 3” before commencing lightning expansion. A conventional HPBT bullet doesn’t produce anything close to the VLD Hunting’s hydrostatic shock and gaping wound cavity.
