Ammo Inc. is an Arizonan company, but the V-MAX bullet is made by Hornady of Nebraska. It is one of the most popular varmint bullets in the world thanks in no small part to its pinpoint accuracy – an aspect of its performance it owes to its rotationally stable Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket, streamlined tip and flat, jacketed base.
The V-MAX’s tip rests on the thin rim of the AMP jacket, and extends a long tail into the swaged lead core’s precision-formed nose cavity. The tip does not touch the bottom of the nose cavity until immediately after impact, at which instant it triggers simply explosive fragmentation. Thin-skinned game doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in Cuba against the V-MAX.
Ammo Inc. adds their own finishing touches: reloadable virgin brass cases, snappy Boxer primers, and Hyperclean Technology propellant which curtails fouling by promoting fuller combustion in the barrel. Order a case and make life more difficult for varmints soon!
