A 300 AAC Blackout rifle isn’t just a range toy. In the right hands – and with the right ammo – it becomes a stellar tool for hunting a wide range of American game. Here’s the right ammo by SIG Sauer!

This cartridge is loaded with a 120 grain solid copper hollow point projectile. The SCHP’s accuracy is right on par with an open tip match, as its narrow meplat, sleek profile and uniformly distributed weight all grant it exceptional accuracy. The SCHP’s external geometry is additionally optimized for smooth feeding in semi-automatic firearms. When the lead-free, nontoxic SCHP plunges into soft tissue, it sets right to work producing consistent 1.8X diameter terminal expansion – without fouling meat in the process.

SIG Sauer’s American-made 300 Blackout is loaded with premium brass cases (note that SIG also loads this ammo with nickel-plated brass cases, but these particular rounds’ cases lack nickel plating). Its consistently matched primers and powder give this precision hunting ammo a 0.290 G1 ballistic coefficient, thus keeping its velocity supersonic beyond 500 yards!
