This cartridge’s subsonic 1,071 fps muzzle velocity is not the product of a weaker propellant charge. Its very heavy 220 grain projectile simply has too much inertia to break the sound barrier before it breaks free of the barrel. That’s why this ammo will cycle a semi-automatic!
The total metal jacket projectile is perfect when you want to avoid cleaning a suppressor’s baffles as much as you can. The TMJ’s copper jacket completely surrounds its solid lead core. The jacket acts as a barrier to propellant gasses, so the heat of ignition will not produce aerosolized lead that would have caked onto your barrel and suppressor. The TMJ similarly prevents lead gas from entering your lungs, which is an especially welcome advantage if you choose to fire this ammo indoors.
Ammo Inc. promotes even cleaner performance thanks to their aptly named Hyperclean Technology. It reduces the amount of propellant that fails to combust in the barrel, which means less fouling overall. Brass-cased, reloadable, nonmagnetic and American-made – the full enchilada!
