This is not 300 AAC Blackout ammunition. If you haven’t heard of 300 HAM’R ammo before, then it’s safe to bet you don’t need it.
Do you have a 300 HAM’R rifle? Do deer or hogs wish that you didn’t? Then we’ve got just the ammunition you need to continue your virtuous war against medium game! It’s Remington Core-Lokt, 300 HAM’R style!
This cartridge is loaded with a 130 grain pointed soft point bullet, which is about the heaviest limit of what one might term “middleweight range.” It’s got a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.248, which translates the following performance assuming the bullet gains its advertised muzzle velocity:
0yds: 2,340 fps | 1,581 ft lbs | -1.5”
100yds: 2,016 fps | 1,173 ft lbs | 3.6”
200yds: 1,721 fps | 855 ft lbs | 0.0”
300yds: 1,461 fps | 616 ft lbs | -15.4”
400yds: 1,247 fps | 449 ft lbs | -47.2”
500yds: 1,094 fps | 345 ft lbs | -101.5”
The Core-Lokt bullet is a proven killer. The raised ring around the interior surface of its jacket is stuck into its lead core; a tool to promote deeper penetration. And in addition to being aerodynamic, the PSP is designed for terminal expansion. Checks both major boxes a hunting bullet ought to!
