This round’s bullet is the Scirocco Bonded by Swift of Kansas. It’s a polymer tipped laser beam, with a secant ogive jacket profile, rotationally stable long driving band, boat tail and thick deformation-resistant jacketed base that all team up to deliver just about the flattest trajectory a 180 grain bullet is capable of. Once it clears the muzzle at a rate of 2,960 feet per second, the 0.507 G1 ballistic coefficient Scirocco Bonded is due to preserve at least 1,500 ft lbs of kinetic energy until approximately 609 yards.

The Scirocco Bonded bullet’s jacket and core are fused together via Swift’s proprietary bonding technology. That’s why the bullet stays at least 75 percent intact as its polymer tip triggers devastating expansion, which reliably takes place across a wide range of impact velocities courtesy of its progressively tapered copper jacket.
