Yellow. Black. Silver. This 300 Winchester Magnum hunting cartridge by Sig Sauer looks like a piece of art – but it really becomes a thing of beauty once you fire it.

This round’s 180 grain bullet has a sharp translucent polymer tip, concentric jacket and enhanced boat tail base. Sig Sauer also loads this cartridge with powder that is specially formulated to create a consistent chamber pressure and muzzle velocity under a wide range of atmospheric conditions.

Together these features give this round a reliable 0.515 G1 ballistic coefficient, which delivers a flat enough trajectory to take game throughout the 300 Win Mag’s effective range. The bullet exerts 1,500 ft lbs of energy at 618 yards; 1,000 ft lbs of energy at 880 yards; and doesn’t become subsonic until 1,348 yards.

The polymer tipped bullet achieves massive expansion – even at lower velocities – as its tip smashes inward on impact to splay the black jacket and alloyed lead core outward in uniform directions.

An Elite Hunter cartridge’s pointed meplat and low-friction nickel-plated case are both designed to promote the smoothest feeding in a rifle. Nickel additionally wards off corrosion, so you’re safe to carry this ammo through elk country’s harshest weather.

This ammunition will not work in 300 WSM or 300 Blackout rifles.
