Q: What would replace the M16 better than a 30-378.

A: Thanks for reaching out Mike! I'm not sure if a rifle chambered for 30-378 Weatherby Mag would make a good replacement for the M16, but at least that way the U.S. Army would be prepared to engage weaponized elk.

Q: Can a Weatherby 30-378 magnum be fire from a 30 cal M-1 carbine?

A: No sir. Even if this cartridge were capable of fitting in your M1 carbine's chamber, it would only succeed at blowing up your rifle. The only ammo your M1 carbine can fire is 30 Carbine, which I regret we haven't got in stock for you at the moment. But we update our inventory constantly, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!
