The Sidewinder is lightweight at 130 grains, but only because it has no lead to weigh it down. It delivers a very flat trajectory because of that, and its uniform density conveys heightened in-flight stability for even more accurate ballistic performance.
The Sidewinder offers highly consistent terminal ballistics as well. Shortly after piercing a game animal’s hide it expands by erecting three sharp cutting petals, each of which tracks a devastating gash in its path. The Sidewinder further features integral fracture points – if any of those petals should snap off, they will necessarily snap off at the same point at their base to promote greater uniformity.
Aussie Ultra ACP loads their copper bullets in new production brass cases by Prvi Partizan, each of which has been checked for length and trimmed as needed, as well as chamfered to ensure consistent neck tension. Loaded to SAAMI specs with a charge of Noble Sport Vectan propellant, this ammo is good for hunting far more than just kangaroos.
We have not yet determined this ammo’s muzzle velocity.
