Consistent doublefeeding/jams

I have a Springfield M1a loaded and decided to buy some bulk .308 ammo and in my naivety I went with some of the cheapest ammo i could find. This site had good reviews for Brown Bear ammo so being someone who is all about value, I thought this was a great deal. Just to preface this, I have two USGI magazines and I typically use Federal ammunition and I have never had a single double feed/failure to extract/jam.
Right off the bat, loaded the first magazine, shot first round, double feed. Cleared the round, bang, double feed. This happened with at least one or two bullets in each magazine for about 260 rounds. Frustrated, I cut my day of shooting short, packed up, and went home.
I hate to write a bad review on this site, but I wanted to share my experience with others. This was a very disappointing purchase, especially for how much money I spent on these rounds. I would not recommend Brown Bear ammo to others.

Our rifle range checks all ammo with the magnet test; If the magnet sticks they hold your ammo that fails 'till you leave , so I left..... 30 more min. & I was in the national forest. I hung a paper plate on a large tree one center thumbtack held it in place...... which I was able to remove with the wolf .308 ammo at 100yds. with iron sites... After removing the back of the tree , due to penetration I cut the tree down with the remaining ammo. I considered the cored tree a safety hazzard that had to be removed. Next time I cut firewood I'm using wolf .308 & my chainsaw.
thankyou Heidi

Ordered the ammo late Friday and it was at my door Tuesday by lunch! Just shot 20 rnds through my SOCOM II with no fail to fire or fail to feed. Not something I would normally shoot through the SOCOM, but definately good for stocking up for when the SHTF. It's a little dirty and the accuracy is good for what it is. I will definately be buying more!

The earlier review I made on this ammo not working in my P308 was wrong. Turns out the problem was in my bolt not the ammo. I've since had it fixed and this stuff works just fine. Great for plinking or just stock up for when the shtf. It's more than accurate enough for that.

I wasn't too thoroughly impressed with the fact it was steel cased but I bought it not for the steel case but for the value that comes with that. It's hard to beat that kind of price.
