Without regular target practice, your marksmanship is going to deteriorate. We can think of few worse things to happen to a hunter. That’s why we stock the big, 500-round cases of Aguila 308 Win – so you can keep your skill sharp!

At 150 grains, this round’s bullet weighs the same as many of the most popular hunting loads. Its 0.341 G1 ballistic coefficient is also par for the course, so you can enjoy comparable ballistic performance to the premium ammo you’d rather reserve for deer season.

The bullet itself would be an impractical choice during deer season, however. As an FMJ it’s designed to chamber reliably and stave off rapid barrel fouling, but it’s not going to expand to create a more debilitating wound channel. The bullet’s tapered boat tail base does promote a flatter trajectory, as well as reduce enough drag to retain supersonic velocity beyond 375 yards.

Aguila is a Mexican manufacturer, founded in 1961 and currently the chief ammo supplier to their country’s armed forces. They draw and taper strong, consistent brass cases, so you can expect this ammo to cycle dependably even after it has been reloaded multiple times. Aguila’s Boxer primer is also non-corrosive, because a rusty rifle is one of the worst things that can happen to a hunter.
