This cartridge is loaded with a full metal jacket boat tail projectile. It’s not a 168 or 175 grain bullet like the long-distance shooters typically prefer, but at 150 grains it retains more than enough downrange momentum to hold on to a precise trajectory. The FMJBT’s boat tail grants it added ballistic efficiency so it can fly flatter, retain more velocity, resist wind deflection and finally hit its target harder. The FMJBT is not a good bullet for deer hunting given its inability to yield terminal expansion. Keep Fiocchi’s nonmagnetic bullets on the range and you’ll be A-OK!
