The 32 H&R magnum is the king of all .32 caliber handgun cartridges (unless you prefer a different one, in which case that is the best, because we would never express an opinion that contradicts your worldview). If you’re looking for primo 32 Magnum defense cartridges – the kind you can trust to protect the king of all dudes/dudettes (i.e. you), then you’ve no more need for internet searching today. You’ve pinpointed the Federal Premium Personal Defense Hydra-Shok Deep ammo!

This round features the Hydra-Shok Deep jacketed hollow point, which wears an aggressively notched jacket (it almost resembles the base of a folded umbrella). That plus the little protrusion at the base of the JHP’s nose cavity (i.e. “post”) helps the bullet expand with the utmost consistency, thus assuring the 85 grain bullet opens up and inflicts the greatest damage to surrounding soft tissues as it’s able. The Hydra-Shok Deep JHP performs well even if it must overcome a barrier before digging its way into the threat.

This ammo’s cases are plated in nickel. That reduces friction which might have slowed feeding into the cylinder, and protects the brass against tarnishing as well. Proof that the best use for nickel isn’t making coins!
