Do you want to defeat a nefarious serpent, or perhaps kill some other verminous scallywag with relative ease? Then behold Doubletap’s SnakeShot ammunition: loaded with two types of projectiles!
First to come out of the barrel is 100 pellets of #9 lead shot. These do not engage with the barrel’s rifling, thus eliminating centrifugal spread in favor of a tight pattern. Next to make its exit is a 40 grain hardcast wadcutter; a short, rigid, cylindrical bullet that less striking power than a 22 LR. All of that is to say that this is among your worst choices of 32 H&R Mag ammo for defense against people. But if you plant that wadcutter through a snake’s dome – or even only manage to bop its snoot with a few 0.095” diameter pellets – then said fiend will never again offend you with its presence.
Muzzle velocity (1,000 fps) recorded with a 4” test barrel.
