You are a traditional kind of shooter. Not to a ridiculous degree, of course – you’re not reaching for a matchlock rifle when you hear someone breaking the downstairs windows. But as far as your bullets are concerned, you’re content to make due with a lead round nose.

This 38 Special cartridge by GECO features a traditional 158 grain LRN bullet. It has no gilding metal jacket to increase its production cost. It presents a reduced risk of splash-back when it strikes a hard surface like steel. It’s nice and uniform in weight for in-flight rotational stability, and at a muzzle velocity of 902 fps out of a 5.9” barrel it’s still capable of packing quite a punch – especially since a softer bullet is able to deform inside of soft tissue better than a rigid FMJ.

GECO makes this ammo in Hungary with new brass cases, clean burning propellant, and non-corrosive Boxer primers. It’s good for handloading, it’s good for target shooting, it’s not an unacceptable choice for the aforementioned broken window scenario, and 357 Magnum revolvers will like it too!
