Target practice should only turn you into a better marksman. What it should not do is expose you to toxic metals. Unfortunately, this isn’t often the case. The conventional full metal jacket projectile’s copper shell does not shield its base against hot propellant gasses. The result is aerosolized lead which goes straight into your lungs every time you pull the trigger.

Ammo Inc.’s 38 Special ammunition is … well, special! This cartridge’s 158 grain total metal jacket does have a lead core, but it is completely sealed away by its all-encompassing copper shell. Hot propellant gasses will not evaporate lead off the bullet during ignition. As an added advantage, that also slows down the rate of barrel fouling!

This Wisconsin-made ammunition features Ammo Inc.’s Hyperclean Technology propellant, which is formulated to minimize barrel fouling by undergoing near-complete combustion throughout ignition. These cartridges’ factory fresh brass cases are repeatedly reloadable, and their Boxer primers are just as dependable as they are noncorrosive.
