Developed as a revolver cartridge in 1898, the 38 Special has been incredibly influential in history. Not only was it common during the First World War, the 38 Special is still a great range and self defense round today. With much less kick than other, more popular round, this round is excellent for not only history buffs and antique lovers but also new shooters and those who are recoil sensitive.

When you need incredible, high performing, innovative ammunition, Polycase is the way to go. With their revolutionary ARX design, they have made an injection molded bullet that delivers great terminal performance in soft tissue, but disintegrates upon impact with a hard surface. These are great rounds for self defense where barrier penetration is a concern.

Each round features a 77 grain ARX projectile that has three large "fins" that provide the devastating terminal performance. These light for the caliber bullets achieve a muzzle velocity of 1,116 feet per second and produce a very light recoil compared to other standard pressure loads.
