Blank ammunition, quite obviously, is not good for self-defense. We mean, you still wouldn’t want anyone to fire blanks at you at close range – taking a kisser full of red hot burning propellant is about as fun as it sounds.

Blank ammunition is extremely useful for a number of other applications. If you’re training a police or hunting dog, treating him to a regular chorus of blanks is a great way to get him to stop caring about gunfire. If you have been asked to start a footrace, a blank is the classiest way to go about it. And for reenactments and filming movies and television shows, you always want blanks. Sure, there’s a certain authenticity to using live ammunition, but you’re probably going to get nasty phone calls from your actors’ agents if you go that route.

This is 38 Special blank ammunition, so it works equally well in 357 Magnum firearms. Without bullets this ammo will fail to cycle the few semi-auto firearms chambered for 38/357, but it’ll work flawlessly in lever-actions and revolvers. This Italian-made ammo is non-corrosive, with crimped brass cases to hold their propellant in place until it’s time to make a lot of noise.
