Already familiar with Remington UMC? Then this ammo doesn’t hold any surprises in store for you. It’s got the same new reloadable brass cases. It’s got the same clean-burning powder and trusty noncorrosive primers. It’s also loaded with 95 grain full metal jackets (nonmagnetic), which are good friends to any target shooter. The only real difference between UMC and Range ammunition is this: Range features plated FMJs instead of true-jacketed ones.
So, what does that mean? Very little, save for the fact that this ammo isn’t suitable for handguns with ported barrels, ported compensators, or any other ported muzzle devices. A port can remove a piece of the plated jacket and bounce it back at the shooter’s face. You may not look like a young Brad Pitt, but we’re willing to bet you’ll look better without any copper shrapnel in your mug.
