But so long as you do manage to nip the threat in the right spot, you can count on the ASP to take care of the rest. This is an accurate bullet, with a tapered copper jacket and form-fitted lead core. It is also designed to do plenty of damage, thanks in no small part to its skived jacket which undergoes expansion across a wide range of impact velocities.
Underwood treats the ASP bullet like royalty by seating it in a nickel-plated brass case. Nickel doesn’t guarantee smooth feeding in every semi-automatic, though it certainly helps a great deal. Doesn’t hurt that it keeps corrosion away from the reloadable brass shell case, either. As an extra bonus, this ammo is loaded with reduced-flash propellant. It keeps bright light at a minimum during ignition, which will keep your eyes working correctly should you ever have to dump a mag in the dark.
